Maths Revision with Heriot Watt University

S4, S5, and S6 pupils recently had the opportunity to work with the Widening Access Student Recruitment Officer and a team of Student Ambassadors from Heriot‑Watt University to support their preparation for their Maths assessments.

As part of this initiative, current undergraduates from Heriot‑Watt’s Mathematics programmes led two afternoon revision sessions designed to help learners build confidence in both National 5 and Higher Maths. Pupils were encouraged to bring along their own revision materials, including topics they found challenging or past papers they wished to work through. Heriot‑Watt academics also prepared a selection of targeted problems for pupils to try.

The session concluded with an open Q&A, giving pupils the chance to ask about revision strategies, time management, and life at university.
